Marketing & Business Development Intern (Summer)

We’re doing great work for great companies and entrepreneurs, but in order to fulfill our mission of be the leading digital innovation lab in the country, we need to build our awareness, preference and client roster. The purpose of this role is to help us find and connect to the business leaders that fit our target profile, and equip our business development team with the information they need to have the right conversations.

 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Conducting research to turn into prospective clients by industry and region, and creating opportunity briefs outlining:
    • Details about the company size, revenue, competitive landscape, challenges to solve
    • Leaders of the organization that GoKart should be talking to, and develop a POV about how to get their attention  
  • Processing inbound leads, doing a fit-score analysis, and working with the Client Services team to pull the right team together for discovery calls and capabilities presentations, managing leads in CRM
  • Researching conferences relevant to our industry and:
    • Identifying opportunities for GoKart to present or attend
    • Identifying opportunities to network with business leaders who should become clients
  • Helping the marketing manager in the execution of GoKart events
  • Supporting the marketing manager in scheduling and managing social media accounts
  • Helping create sales enablement materials, case studies, and other relevant collateral
  • Working with GoKart’s marketing manager to report on the impact of marketing efforts on revenue, awareness and preference for GoKart

  • You have experience in, or a drive to learn about life in the digital service industry
  • You have familiarity with things like CRM, marketing automation, and messaging
  • You’re positive and fun to work with, and at the same time, not afraid of really hard work
